Arlo was living the dream, but it was someone else's dream.
His friend saved his life and injected him with tiny robots that saved his physical health and made him better. Stronger. Faster. The downside was he didn't remember anything before waking up in the middle of the Missouri forest. Now, with some of his old memories starting to surface, he feels like there is something important there. When he recovers his memory, he finds the Corporations have not been resting on their laurels while he was out of the game. With his health back, the Corporations are going to learn they no longer have the carte blanche they assumed. And the entity that has made the warlords and managers of those Corporations shiver in fear will also find out that they, too, are not above retribution.
