I'm an actor, director, audiobook narrator who's been reading aloud professionally since 2015.
My day job is adapting, directing, and performing in full-cast audiobooks with Graphic Audio (GA fans know me as Syl from Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive; Dina from Ilona Andrews's Innkeeper series; and Kate Daniels, from the eponymous series, also by Ilona Andrews). I've narrated poetry, fiction, and academic literature for the Library of Congress, and work regularly for the USPS voicing a character in their security training programs.
I'm Algerian-American, with roots that extend to Ireland and Lithuania, and conversant in French and Arabic. I hold an MA in Arab Studies from Georgetown University, and a BA in journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park. I was steeped in both Catholic and Sunni Muslim faith traditions growing up, and am currently a practicing Unitarian Universalist.
I'm also a mother, wife, daughter, friend, puppeteer, collaborator, comedy fan, mushroom enthusiast, and dialect collector. I'm most at home reading stories aloud -- to my children, to my family. To you.
