About the Performer

Đavid Lee Huỳnh is an award-winning international artist based in New York City. His Theatre career includes over a dozen Off-Broadway plays with notable productions being the twice Drama Desk-nominated all-Asian cast NY Times Critics Pick production of Shakespeare's HENRY VI with the National Asian-American Theatre Company, the world premiere of ONCE UPON A (korean) TIME with Ma-Yi Theatre Company, and the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE starring John Douglass Thompson as Shylock which originally ran Off-Broadway in New York at Theatre for a New Audience, then in Washington DC at the Shakespeare Theatre, and then in Edinburgh, Scotland as part of an international Shakespeare Exchange at the Royal Lyceum Theatre.

His on-camera work includes the shortfilms Children of the Dust and Solitary, the television series FBI, Blue Bloods, and Encounter Party of the official Dungeons and Dragons Adventures channel.

His voiceover work includes over 70 narrations for publishers such as Penguin Random House, Macmillan Audio, HarperCollins, and Simon & Schuster. He has won three Earphone Awards for his narration and was twice Audie-nominated in 2024 for his work on "Star Wars: The High Republic - The Battle of Jedha" and Tom Hanks' debut novel "The Making of Another Motion Picture Masterpiece."

He is proudly first-generation Vietnamese-American and operates his own Theatre company, The Sống Collective, for the advancement of Theatre artists of the Vietnamese diaspora. "không phải tôi. chúng ta"

He is also a professor in the Randolph College MFA Theatre Arts low-res program.
