Major Alex Frey is no stranger to the wilds of the African jungle, and as darkness grows across the globe, a small light shines in the depths of the African wilderness. Freshly in charge, Major Frey finds himself beset by a tumultuous situation in Zambia. He must guide and protect the servicemen and women of the United States Embassy. When the lights go out on Christmas Day, a gutsy decision must be made. With the help of some unlikely and untested soldiers, they must convoy through the perilous wilds of Africa as they escape to Rwanda by any means possible. Unbeknownst to Major Frey, memories he has paid for in blood will haunt and hound him, leading to ambushes and showdowns with deadly enemies and environments. If the Major can overcome treacherous obstacles and come to terms with his past, he might just survive the 1400-mile journey.
