Believe half of what you see is a phrase Kannon Blackstone is reminded of daily.
Born an outside baby to a headstrong loan shark, the feisty R.N. has always had to work harder than those around her to be taken seriously. Though stable in her career, Kannon struggles to connect with her paternal family and gain the respect she needs to join the Blackstones' underground business. However, when Kannon's ambition leads her to kidnap a wanted man, she believes the courageous act will place her in a better light. Instead, she introduces herself to a mean man with the power to start a war. Three words that best describe Neptune Sinner: big, blunt, and bossy. Though the thirty-year-old doesn't have the best reputation for being a team player, Neptune understands there are certain obligations that must be met before he can claim his throne at The Sinner's Spot. With only one gem missing from his crown, Neptune makes an arrangement solid enough to secure his spot. However, his plan ushers in the daughter of his father's enemy, an ambitious woman who may test his gangsta and challenge his prayers.
