Believe it or not, writing didn't use to be my full time gig! So how’d I start writing? I started writing silly little stories detailing the exploits of my friends and I in our high school marching band. I loved writing, but never in my wildest dreams think it could ever be an actual career. I went on to get two degrees in music, and teach music and band in public skills for about a decade. COVID was the final push I needed to finally take the time to publish that damn novel. One turned into two, then a series, then another series, and then holy-cow-I'm-making-money-at-this! Last spring I quit my music teaching career. I’ve been writing fantasy and why choose romance ever since. I'm entirely self-taught using a multitude of FB author groups, going to conferences, and networking and reading books with others authors in my genre. If I’m not reading or writing, you can find me performing in local shows on clarinet and saxophone. I have three amazing kids, the most incredibly supportive husband, and a grumpy cat named Arthur.
