Kyla 'Tucaya' Garcia is a Taíno poet, actor, director, and audiobook narrator based in unceded Tongva land. She believes stories are medicine and thinks her 10-year-old self would be pretty jazzed that they get to tell them for a living.

Kyla has narrated over 300 audiobooks and dubbed over 100 film/tv projects including the lead English voice of Lidia on Netflix's first original Spanish series. Career highlights include Mary Kathryn Nagle’s Sovereignty at Arena Stage where she performed for Gloria Steinem and Ruth Bader Ginsberg and starring alongside Jessica Chastain on the hit podcast series The Space Within on Audible.

Kyla has a passion for languages and is a language bearer for her tribe for their newly reconstructed dialect of Hiwatahia.
